The best thing about the stay was the staff. Everyone was so great. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. The rooms were nice. The views were beautiful. Because we bought all inclusive, I was a little disappointed in the selection of restaurants because only one in the evening was open at a time.

From the time I arrived at the Buganvillas I was treated with respect and friendliness. The checkin was easy and information was provided about the resort.
My room was clean and ready for 4:00 pm.The view was amazing!
I loved spending time at the pool where I received assistance with finding the best chair for my purpose.
The cleaning staff did a great job at making my room clean and fresh each day.
I will definitely recommend this resort and will come back with friends!

Our room was perfect! We had the junior suite. The pool was clean and refreshing. The massage at the spa was heavenly! The housekeepers did a great job cleaning and supplying fresh towels each time. We never had any dishwasher tabs but were okay with washing our dishes,odd though, that there was a dishwasher but no tabs. That is the only complaint and really isn’t a complaint at all.

Loved it!!! We were there 2 weeks , the first we stayed in the older building in a 1 bedroom , very clean and great ocean review with a great view of PV, 2 nd week we stayed in newer building in a 1 bedroom. All amazing. We did not participate in the all inclusive portion as we wanted to explore PV,, great location.

Beautiful resort with many amenities. Our room was a junior suite which was perfect to fixing our own breakfasts and lunches. We had dinner mostly at the varied dining experiences at the resort. Beautiful view of the bay and sunset. Pool water was perfect temperature, plenty of lounge chairs available. Small market had all we needed for supplies and we were able to charge all expenses to the room for on final bill. Highly recommend to others who want to enjoy a relaxing time.

The room was more than we expected! Full kitchen and separate sleeping area. The staff is outstanding! From Bell boys to receptionist to the entertainment squad, they were all the best we’ve experienced. Loved the Water Aerobics and especially the Mixology classes! The Asian restaurant was fantastic! Love the location, but preferred to Nuevo Vallarta beaches

I had a wonderful one bedroom with kitchenette room with a sleeper sofa. The one bedroom was a separate unit adjoining so my friend and I had totally separate units with our own balcony with a view of the ocean. The only issue was the a/c unit which was hard to maintain as the wall controls were not working very well. Maintenance came and did some work and it seemed like it was better. The staff were all very friendly and the grounds were beautiful.

We love the Buganvileas. Our two weeks were just right. Everything is clean and well looked after. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is warm and inviting - even quite early in the morning. The suite was very comfortable - with an extra bathroom and a long balcony. We are close to downtown and we can walk everywhere. We hope to be back next January.

My friend and I had a wonderful week in PV. The staff was always attentive and friendly, the resort was beautiful and kept very clean. I had one of the best spa experiences with a massage and facial and the activities were first class - the daily stretch classes, aqua aerobics, dance classes and activity staff were excellent. The food at all the restaurants was fine and the location of the resort next to the old town was convenient. I stay there again!

The rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen had all necessary amenities, wait staff were polite and attentive, the grounds were beautifully maintained. I do wish the water in the pool was warmer, it was too cold to swim in, also we only got into the hot tub twice, the first time, within 30 minutes it was overrun by about 12-15 kids with only 2 adults supervising. I think there should be an age limit on the hot tub---no small kids allowed!

La comida a la carta está deliciosa.
La ubicación del hotel está muy práctica para disfrutar de la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta, sus restaurantes, tiendas, centros comerciales y vistas.
Sin embargo, disfrutar de la entrada al mar no es ideal, ya que hay muchas piedras y rocas.

Beautiful resort and rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved being close to the Centro and Malecon. We actually only ate a couple of meals at the resort and the rest at the numerous local dining spots. One day we took an Uber to Bucerias and spent a few hours exploring, having lunch, and some time at restaurant with umbrella tables on the beach enjoying cervezas, chips, salsa, and guacamole. Will definitely return.

Had a 2BR master suite. Good sized unit, beds were comfortable. Kitchen was smaller and not a lot of amenities but workable. Nice large deck and furniture.
Resort pool was large and lots of chairs (although they did not enforce the discouragement of chair reservation hogs). Pool water was extremely warm. Daily amenity fee covered daily housekeeping even though we did not use it

We love the Buganvilias. We were hoping for a room with a balcony but did not get one but we liked the suite. This is possibly the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. Everything in the suite and in the resort is kept in top notch condition. We had daily maid service including towel change. The location just a few blocks north of the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta makes it so easy to walk to many restaurants, clubs, shops, etc. We hope to be back next year.

This is our 3rd visit in 10 yrs & we would not go back. The beach & ocean is rocky, so we only had the pools to use. There were 3 new restaurants but 2 were not included in the all inclusive program & the others had many good food choices that you had to pay extra for, even if you have AI. Rooms haven't been updated in quite a while. I had requested an updated room, but we got an old one.The biggest issue is that the resort plays very loud music until midnight almost every night. Very loud and keeps guests awake at night. Also this time, the wait staff around the pool only seemed to take care of their favorites (people who stayed multiple weeks). Every time we wanted service, we had to go to the bar area and request service.

This resort is in an ideal location for enjoying downtown Puerto Vallarta. A 5 minute walk puts you on the Main Street with access to local restaurants, music and a variety of stores. There is a grocery store 10 minutes away, which makes light meals and snacks easy to prepare in the well outfitted kitchen. Ocean views are beautiful. Great choice for a casual vacation.

We enjoyed the room, as it was very spacious. Karina at the concierge desk was one of the best we have ever dealt with. She is very personable and welcoming. We had a great time chatting with both the locals and the staff. The resort is a great location to hop on the bus or take the taxi.
Only issue is people saving chairs at 7:30 in the morning , then don't show up until after 10.

We were in a building that has not been renovated (C) so other buildings may be much improved. It was poorly maintained but when we asked for things to be fixed, they were. The balcony was dirty, but it was cleaned, and dirty furniture replaced. The seal around the bathtub/shower door was broken - when it was pointed out then it was fixed. The curtains would not stay on the curtain rail - so housekeeping staff put them back when they cleaned the room. We had a big argument with maintenance when a glass coffee carafe shattered while we were making coffee. They wanted us to pay for the carafe. Finally though the manager realized that it was an electrical (heat) problem in the base, which was probably overheating. The restaurants were good. The staff overall were great. The beach is not swimmable for most people. The pools are good. One noisy family pool and one quiet one. We will not go back there.

Check in and out was smooth. The accommodations were very nice with a decent ocean view. The location was great with an easy one mile walk to the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta. The pool situation was interesting because if you did not take towels down at 6:30 a.m. to reserve the lounges there were none available later in the morning. The presentation went way to long and way over 90 minutes. Fernando and David were nice and the breakfast was great but when you tell someone the presentation is only 90 minutes that needs honored. The incentives for the presentation were good. The massages were great. The only other draw back was no sandy beach right in front of the resort. The sunsets were fantastic!

Beautiful resort, great people, nice pools! The only draw back is the cost for eating at the resort. If you didn't buy the all inclusive package (which was well beyond our budget) you had to shell out some SERIOUS cash. The on site buffet was in excess of $50US per person. Ouch!!! Frustrating that you can't purchase just an all inclusive food package. For us that don't drink spirits, you still have to pay for the package that includes them. For us, we won't be returning to Mexico for many years.

The Sheraton is a lovely facility. It is well kept, attractive, and comfortable. The room was nicely appointed and very clean. The bed and pillows were excellent. The desk and housekeeping services were top notch. The pool, hot tub, and related facilities were also excellent.
There was a small leak in the bathroom from a toilet. I called about it and it was quickly repaired
There were mosquitoes in the room fairly frequently. We requested fumigation which they did fairly quickly. The problem was much better after.

Overall just ok. Little communication at checkin, no information in the rooms about the resort. Very old but clean rooms, tub/shower dangerous to get in and out of due to how high the entry is. Terrible drinks at the pool bar, had to just stick to beer or water. Would not go again unless it was very cheap.

Very good BUT it is very inconvenient when people go to the pool very early in the morning and "reserve" prime locations at the pool. We go down around 8a and all prime locations are taken AND guests don't even show up until late afternoon. There was one guest who had their spot reserved when we got to the pool at 8a and they came, took their towels, and left at 2pm, so that spot was not being used.

Nice lobby, pools, beautiful grounds. The rooms in the older part of the resort are needing updated but are comfortable and clean. Disappointed that the room had no balcony, just a sliding window.
Reserving of chairs was beyond ridiculous. If you wanted an area at the pool that offered shade, be prepared to place your towels on the loungers before 5 am, some people reserved chairs earlier.

Great location - room was clean and functional. Cleaning staff very good and pleasant. Overall a very nice resort. The cons were the resort food was poor and the gym could have more free weights and other small but useful exercise equipment - there is enough room if the layout of the larger equipment is reorganized. Overall not bad but the biggest negative was the assignment of rooms. They first put us in a room that was moldy and full of mildew and was only on the 2nd floor and had a view of the pool. Would not reassign until the following day. We ended up in the same old building 1 floor up but no view of the pool or ocean. We both got sick there so not a lot of time to enjoy the facility. The timeshare presentation was just ok. Breakfast wasn't that great and the guys were pretty aggressive and, except for the first one, were not very personable. Was not impressed with the televisions or the cable service. Many channels fuzzy and/or with crachly sound. Internet was great though. All of the staff were very friendly and their English was good.

The buganvillias vacation club resort was above average, the room we were assigned was an older room that need it some upgrades. The pool area was amazing and the service around the pool and food was outstanding. The all inclusive food service was pretty good, the only negative thing , was required to walk in person daily to make reservations on specialty restaurants instead of a simple phone call. The location its very convenient to the airport and proximity to downtown. Its a timeshare resort combine with the Sheraton Convention Center.

I loved the resort. Room was great. Grounds beautiful. First resort I have been to that there was not nightly entertainment. All in all though I thoroughly enjoyed this facility. One negative if feedback is given to resort, is that they often have cabs dropping people at the wrong spot. The Hotel and Resort are two properties side by side. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and it was updated. Another family member stayed in a two bedroom that was not updated. Only the updated units are good for six people. The not updated units barely accommodate four people. The resort workers are nice, but the resort staff at the front desk, and at the restaurants invariably would say no for any request. The concierge was polite and helpful at the main hotel.
I like the size of the resort. Spa services were good but expensive. The all inclusive deal we got by listening to the timeshare presentation made things convenient as we did not have to cook. However, the Asian restaurant and Sunday brunch were not included in the all inclusive. Restaurant choices are limited. We had to wake up at 8 AM and go in person to the concierge to book for dinner that night. I would say making these dinner reservations was one of the most difficult tasks at the hotel. If you did not make a reservation, the answer if you walked up to one of the restaurants was NO.
The pool was nice. The hot tub seem to have either pollen or dead skin cells. Poolside service for food and drinks was really nice. Thanksgiving fiesta was very fun.
Though our room was right on the edge of the resort and the public beach, I felt safe. Walking to Puerto Vallarta town was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

My daughter got the flu and then my husband who needed medical attention. The doctor came to our room and prescribed medication and electrolytes and he we better 8 hours later. most impressive for us is just the diversity and quantity of sealife around Puerto Vallarta. We watched dozens of manta rays jumping for about 20 minutes, we saw dolphins every day, humpback whales breaching...all from our hotel beach. In addition turtles were hatching literally under our beach chairs, a mother turtle was laying eggs..very amazing.

We liked the location. It was easy to get to town. The bus system and taxi's were convenient and easy to use. Also the Mega grocery store was an easy walk.

The city tour and jungle tour were enjoyed by ourselves and our visitors that we had for the week. This was their first time in Puerto Vallarta and they enjoyed the resort, its accommodations and its locality to the center of town.

The pool was warm.Resort was clean. Beds were slightly softer than most other resorts we've stayed at. Location was ideal, close to Malecon and Downtown without all the noise of staying there.

This resort had 4 tennis courts and a pro. My husband is a National champion so he was delighted that there were locals and visitors of his caliber to play. The resort is smaller and more friendly than some of the bigger resorts. We would definitely stay at this resort again.

room was very nice,however had we stayed for second week I'm not sure if experience would have been so positive. Another SFX client was checking out at same time and was livid .Her 1 bedroom did not have ocean view or the computer port she was promised.We saw 1 bedroom unit -interior bedroom did not have an exterior window and No balcony. Very dark and not at all equal to Mayan Palaces trade

We had a beautiful 2-bedroom corner unit. It had a full kitchen, a separate dining area, two bathrooms with wonderful showers and tubs, a living room with double couches, 3 flat screen TV's with lots of channels, and a beautiful wrap-around balcony facing the ocean and downtown Puerto Vallarta.

We paid for an upgrade and had a unit 30 feet from the ocean on the ground floor with an outdoor patio -- it was heaven. The public areas and restaurants and pool were all very lovely and we could walk into downtown Puerto Vallarta. I will return to this resort and thank Nathan for recommending it to me!!

The check-in was not very welcoming. Once we received our room key we were directed to a sales representative in the lobby. She tried right away to push discounts on us if we sign up to take a tour. We were exhausted from our travel and were in NO mood to be pushed so soon. The food was excellent, but the overall friendliness of the staff was not overly welcoming. I spoke first to others before any employee would speak to me. We had a 2 bedroom unit and the first bedroom with 2 double beds had a sewer smell in it. Maintenance attempted to fix it by sealing a hole in the wall somewhere. While the smell was less obvious, it still smelled. The acitivies director was superb. High energy and very engaging.

The pools and restaurants are very nice and there are beautiful views from the rooms of Bandaras Bay. The staff is wonderful.
