The resort itself was nice. We were moved from the Bliss to the Mayan Palace because there were no more rooms of the type we booked at the Bliss upon check-in. The check-in process was not easy and the staff we encountered at check-in was not accommodating or friendly. The room was just okay. It was outdated and the kitchen and amenities were not suitable for actually cooking in at all. Out stay was just okay.

The grounds of the Hilton Hawaiian Village (of which Lagoon Towers is a part) are amazing. We stayed in a 1-bedroom unit in Lagoon Towers; we had a great view of the marina from our 6th floor unit. The lay-out of the room though was not at all as expected; kitchen was its own separate room (more like a large closet), not part of the living area with an eat-on counter as pictured on website. For a 4-day stay, it worked though. We enjoyed the Friday night hula show and fireworks.

Cirque du Soleil was fantastic. The main pool and beach areas were wonderful. Having WiFi in the rooms was great. Loved the new wooden walkways, too. Restaurant selection was fantastic.

Our pool waiter Francisco was superb. Our shuttle driver Jeremy was also great. Both delivered exceptional customer service. The food at each restaurant was very good.
